Fellow

Robert W. Evans, Ph.D., Ph.D. is Pastor-Teacher of Christ Church in Pleasanton, CA. As an author, academic, and speaker, he has traveled widely and has lectured extensively around the world.

Dr. Evans speaks and writes regularly on issues that lie at the intersection between Christianity and culture and is internationally recognized for his expertise in employing the relationship between medicine and morality as a cultural apologetic to both commend and defend the Christian faith. He has earned a reputation as a clear and compelling communicator and is gifted in dealing with difficult questions posed by non-Christian audiences, which has made him effective in seminar series and on television and radio broadcasts.

Dr. Evans has earned two PhD's (Clinical Psychology and Systematic Theology) and was educated at University of California-Los Angeles, University of California-Berkeley, Harvard Medical School, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, among others. Dr. Evans was a post-doctoral Resident Graduate and Teaching Fellow in Moral Philosophy and Ethics (with an emphasis in bioethics) at Harvard University and completed additional post-doctoral studies in theology and ethics at the Oxford University, where he subsequently returned as a Visiting Scholar. His ordination is held with the Evangelical Free Church of America. Dr. Evans was recently installed as a senior pastor at Redwood Chapel in Castro Valley, California.
