Pre-Conference Bioethics Institutes:
Taught by over a dozen leading Christian figures in bioethics. Each
Institute includes the July 13–15, 2006 conference. Academic and Continuing
Education credit available.
Week-long Institutes (July 10–15, 2006):
· Intensive Bioethics [24 CME Credits]: A thorough orientation to the field of bioethics, comparing Christian and non-Christian perspectives.
· Advanced Bioethics Institute [24 CME Credits]: Considers in greater depth various approaches to bioethics, with special reference to end-of-life issues.
· Body, Soul, Mind, Spirit [10 CME Credits]: Introduces the essential theological and philosophical foundations for personhood.
Wrap-Around Conference
(July 13–15, 2006):
A Wrap-Around Conference Course can be taken in addition to an Institute.
Graduate-level (2 or 3 semester hours) and undergraduate-level (3 semester
hours) wrap-around courses provide an additional academic perspective on the
conference. Dennis Hollinger, Ph.D. (graduate level) and Joyce Shelton,
Ph.D. (undergraduate level) will lead the courses.
Courses include additional class meetings in conjunction with the
conference, but the bulk of the content will be the conference itself.
Readings prior to the conference and a project following will be required.
Undergrad/Pre-Med Bioethics Institute (July 12–15, 2006):
An
orientation to bioethics for those considering careers in ethics,
medicine, or health care.
Post-Conference Bioethics Seminars (July 17–19, 2006):
Taught by world-class leaders in bioethics. Academic and Continuing Education credit available.

Neurological Challenges: Shepherding Individuals and Families:
Provides
an overview of the unique needs of those with neurological challenges
and their families as well as guides in building a framework to more
effectively shepherd this population and their caregivers.

What If?
Neuroethics in Film and Fiction:
Surveys important neuroethical themes presented in fiction in order to
identify key ethical issues and explore possible responses from within a
Christian worldview.
