Sandra Mayo, PhD, serves at LeTourneau University as Associate Provost for Student Success and Dean of Online Education. Her career in higher education has taken many paths, from supporting first-year students to teaching and conducting research, leading academic programs, and serving in senior administrative roles. This breadth of experience has shaped her approach as a mission-driven leader with a particular passion for building strong programs, helping people and organizations flourish, and creating meaningful pathways for students to succeed.
She has published in the Journal of Higher Education and The International Christian Community for Teacher Education Journal and is a contributor to The Pedagogy of Shalom: Theory and Contemporary Issues of Faith-Based Education. Her recent book, Homeward: Healing Our Separation Between God and Each Other, explores themes of race and faith and separation and healing.
Sandra holds a dual bachelor’s degree in English and sociology from Rutgers College, Rutgers University; a master’s degree in student personnel administration from Teacher’s College, Columbia University; and a doctorate in education from Claremont Graduate University.
