This paper is concerned with the contemporary theological and scientific issues involved in the construction of an evangelical theology of the soul. Emphasis will be on the existing theological and scientific models of the Brain-mind and Body-soul interfaces. The practical worldview implications will be stressed. It is my concern that the average layperson attending this conference may not understand sufficiently the biblical and theological grounding and especially the scientific issues necessary to be able to carry on a “Christianly” discussion in these areas. This paper is an extended update of my article that appeared in our college faculty newsletter, And Gladly Teach . . .” I will supply each person with a copy of the paper, which includes a select annotated bibliography.
