Bioethics as it exists today is determinedly secular and even anti-religious.  It excludes centuries of Christian thought and teachings about medical morals.  Thus it impoverishes itself for the post secular future in which Christian and secular world views will exist together because faith and reason are ineradicable realities in human nature.  Hence they must engage in true dialectic if we are to resolve the moral problems in our future without civil discord. In this talk I will outline the sources of the secular bias of modern bioethics, the contributions Christian bioethics can make as a university discipline and the conditions for an effective dialectic in the post secular society of the future.
