The bioethics debates are truly of global magnitude.  Stem cells, cloning, embryo screening, savior siblings, animal-human hybrids—all of these issues and many more are being discussed in countries around the world.  Some few nations have settled the issue, at least for the moment, but for most there is continuing controversy regarding the use of some biotechnologies, and the implications for human life, human rights, and human dignity.  While there is some interaction between different national and international groups, it is imperative that there be increased cooperation and unity among the groups involved in this fight to preserve a human future.  We will discuss where we are in the global debate at different levels nationally and internationally, and where we need to move if we are to protect human life and human dignity.
